    Speak up and engage others who are different from you
    At the workplace, there are 2 common scenarios:

    1) Some people are not speaking up at meetings and forums. They want to, but find there is something stopping them. This is only natural as some are inhibited for reasons such as having a quieter personality, out of habits, environment does not encourage speaking up or the lack of communication skills. There are also people who has no problem speaking up, but find that no one is listening to them.

    2) Some people prefer to mix with like-minded people and do not know how to engage people who are different from them. They may also find such people "challenging" to interact and work with. For example, finding some people to be over-assertive or are too detailed and meticulous.

    Speak up and engage others who are different from you. In this workshop, you will learn 10 techniques to speak up and be heard. You will also learn the 4 Social Style personalities that will help you to become more effective when communicating and working with diversity, especially when they are different from you in their Style.
    Objective
    • Learn the 10 techniques to speak up and be heard
    • Understand the 4 different Social Styles
    • Know your own Social Style and how to identify others’ Style
    • How to communicate effectively with people who has a different Style than yours
    Outline
    • Learn from an ICF Professional Coach and leadership trainer who has helped many employees to speak up, be heard and be more effective in their job roles
    • You will learn 10 key techniques to help you to speak up clearly and confidently each time
    • Learn the 4 Social Styles and identify your own Style, Style strengths and areas for improvement
    • Learn how to identify the Social Styles of your colleagues and how to adjust and adapt your Style to others in order to better engage and interact with them

    Tan Swee Heng is a highly engaging and interactive Shared Leadership Team Coach, recognized for his expertise in coaching leaders, teams, and organizations to embrace shared leadership, drive transformative change, and advance sustainability for the planet.     Based in Singapore, Swee Heng is a Master Certified Coach (MCC) and holds the Advanced Certification in Team Coaching (ACTC) from the International Coach Federation (ICF), with over 3,000 coaching hours. He is also a certified Coach Supervisor and has strong experience in Shared Leadership and Sustainability Team Coaching. He has been in the coaching industry since 2010.

    In addition to his professional contributions, Swee Heng serves on the Board of Council of the Singapore Institute of Management (SIM) Society—an organization founded in 1964 dedicated to developing leadership and management excellence.

    Beyond his professional life, Swee Heng is deeply committed to personal well-being.
